Soccer Academy 

The goal of the Soccer Academy program is to provide young soccer players with an environment to develop their skills to reach their full potential. Our academies offer comprehensive programs designed to challenge and inspire each player, regardless of their current level of play.

In addition to technical and tactical training, we place a strong emphasis on character development, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Our academies believe in helping players grow not only as soccer players, but also as well-rounded individuals.

The Archbishop O’Leary Soccer Academy seeks to develop student athletes athletically as well as academically. The program is designed to promote life skills through sport and facilitate the complete development of your child. As an academy, our goal is to provide each student athlete with the opportunity to pursue excellence.  Students have access to top quality instruction, equipment and training facilities in a faith based learning environment.

Academy Details:

The Archbishop O’Leary Soccer Academy strives to provide its student athletes with opportunities through our relationships with post secondary institutions both in Canada and the United States. Students are given the opportunity to showcase their skills through academy trips, camps and have been very successful in garnering post-secondary opportunities.

Abe Dukuly, Instructor

Abe is a seasoned professional soccer player who brings a wealth of high-level experience to the field. His extensive knowledge and expertise have led him to establish a premier on-field training platform in the city, where he shares his invaluable insights with aspiring players. At 17, Abe signed his first professional contract. Despite being just 23 years old, Abe has already made a significant impact in the soccer world. In addition to his professional achievements, Abe assumes the role of academy instructor at Archbishop O’Leary High School. With unwavering dedication and a passion for player development, he guides and trains young athletes, passing on his knowledge and skills to the next generation of soccer players. Abe’s commitment to nurturing players is unmatched. He has successfully trained both professional and amateur players from leagues across the globe, helping them sharpen their skills and preparing them for crucial trials and opportunities in the world of soccer. His unparalleled experience and the extensive connections he has forged within the sport make him a valuable resource for any aspiring athlete looking to excel in the beautiful game.

David Doe, Instructor

David is a highly accomplished soccer player with a remarkable journey that encompasses both grassroots and professional levels of the sport. His extensive experience in various teams and clubs showcases his dedication and passion for soccer. Starting his journey in grassroots soccer, David quickly displayed exceptional talent, catching the attention of provincial teams. With his relentless commitment and skill, he continued to progress through the ranks, earning a spot in the Canadian youth national teams. Representing his country at such a young age was a testament to his abilities and potential. As David’s career advanced, he had the opportunity to play for esteemed professional clubs like FC Edmonton and SouthBend Lions FC. These experiences at the professional level not only honed his skills but also provided him with invaluable exposure to high-level competition. In addition to his on-field success, David’s impact extends beyond his achievements. He is actively involved in coaching young players at the Archbishop O’Leary Soccer Academy. As a youth coach, David emphasizes not only the technical and tactical aspects of the game but also the importance of enhancing players’ physical capabilities.

Registration Information

The Archbishop O’Leary Soccer Academy is a full year commitment and we are accepting registrations at all levels of ability for September 2025!

Ensure you have also completed your online ECSD registration if applying from outside of Edmonton Catholic Schools.  Archbishop O’Leary Soccer Academy fee for 2025/2026 is $1,000 this includes apparel, in class instruction, transportation & training. Full payment must be received of $1,000 by August 26, 2025.

Academy Trips

The Archbishop O'Leary Soccer Academy has gone on many trips in the last 14 years including destinations such as Italy, Hawaii, and San Diego. These trips are a great way for players to be seen by potential coaches as well as gain experience with both college and professional soccer environments. Showcase tournaments are a great way for our student athletes to be seen by numerous college coaches in the USA opening up potential Scholarship opportunities.
