Production performance academy is a school scheduled program which produces both a musical and non-musical in 1 semester. The Academy is not about individuals—it is about students working together and creating all aspects of  major productions. Academy productions and activities are group efforts cumulating in a final product that is a symbol of the collaborative efforts of all involved. The Academy is open to all—no matter what high school grade you are in or what your skills are. It is a place where everyone is equal and everyone will be treated with respect.

Who is it for:

All grade 10, 11, 12 students who are interested in one or more of the following:

Acting, Dancing, singing, directing, producing, advertising, costuming,makeup,hair, set design, stage management, set construction, lighting, audio, stage crew, front of house, marketing and management, and videography.

Drama 10, 20, and 30 allows students to communicate with and understand others in new, meaningful ways. By using their creativity and drive to perform, students engage with the world around them in ways never thought imaginable. Participating in Drama at Archbishop O’Leary prepares students to live and work in a world that is increasingly team oriented, by encouraging collaboration and empathy.

Drama 10 and 20 are offered in both 3 and 5 credit

Drama 30  5 credits and used for post-secondary entrance.
